The Paralympic flame will be carried by 1,000 torchbearers through 12 French towns before arriving in Paris. This journey aims to give sports fans a preview of the excitement to come. The significance of the Paralympic flame continues to inspire both athletes and spectators.

Security measures have been heightened at the Paralympic village, with roughly 43,000 security personnel deployed to ensure the safety of the participants. Despite these precautions, Australian archers have expressed their focus on the competition, not worrying about the increased security presence.

The Paralympic flame is essential, so I said to myself, we absolutely have to go today. Other spectators witnessed the magic of the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics and have come back for more. I had the chance to go to the Paralympic Games in Paris, and now I want to live the Paralympic Games to the fullest. It gives me the same energy, and I hope to find the same joy and the same enthusiasm. French authorities have ramped up security at the Paralympic village, but a pair of Australian archers are not worried. I'm focused on the competition, I let the government of France worry about that. We're lucky, if they come and try it on us, we've got archery gear, so we're pretty well protected. Roughly 43,000 security personnel are on site to ensure that athletes can safely go for gold.
