It's been five days since there have been new demonstrations in the Iranian capital, as well as in two other cities where I was able to interview people. For the first time, a report has been published by an official news agency, Tasnim, which is close to the Revolutionary Guard. According to the Tasnim, those arrested as members of, and I quote, extremist groups of people who participated in the unrest. We do not know if these figures only concern Tehran, or if they represent the entire country, or whether they include others who were arrested simply for participating in protests. Human rights organisations based abroad are of course giving much higher figures, but in Iran itself there are still no official figures or reports on the number of deaths and injuries, which are very high.
