Northeastern United States

The Northeastern United States is expected to experience significant snowfall as an arctic front brings three consecutive weather systems to the region. The first system is forecast to begin Tuesday, with additional systems arriving Friday into Saturday and again on Sunday.

Snowfall totals along the lakes could reach between three to eight inches or more, with the GFS weather model suggesting heavier accumulations farther inland. Messy conditions are expected to persist through Thursday, affecting areas that have already seen repeated storms.

We're going to get rain. We're going to get a lot of snow for some of us here in the same places that I feel like we've been getting it over and over and over again. This is just through Friday because this is system one of three coming through all the way through Sunday. So this is number one Friday into Saturday is the next one and then Sunday we see a third one that's going to drop into into the picture into the same areas but notice a solid three to five five to eight plus inches of snow for us here along the lakes. GFS going a little bit heavier, a little bit farther inland, but that's the GFS doing the GFS. Notice it starts off. This is our Tuesday. It's coming in. Then we get those reinforcements as we head into our Wednesday evening. And Thursday it's going to be quite messy here into the Northeast.
