The discussions revolve around Apple's interest in licensing Gemini, which is a set of generative AI models developed by Google. This partnership aims to enhance the iPhone's capabilities with new features that are expected to be introduced in the software update planned for 2024.

Alex I mean this is wildly exciting because there's so much hope and you know pinned on the future of A.I. What do you make of Apple looking externally for A.I. solutions. Well there are two pieces to size this really. On the one hand you've got what it says about Apple's A.I. efforts in-house. The implication of that clearly they aren't progressing very well at least as well as perhaps the company would expect. But the other piece of it is of course what they're able to offer their customers. And if they are going to keep the iPhone as the dominant smartphone globally they probably do need to be having something in this generative A.I. space. Google clearly has a very good product in this space. So it does solve a problem for Apple. It's interesting to see the shares in the in the pre-market don't seem to have moved a huge amount. So perhaps balancing those two things is what's going on. The really think the thing to be really interesting will be the extent to which Apple decides to pivot over the years. If they take if they do end up taking Gemini. And there were also talks of open A.I. Mark Gomez reporting. Do they after a few years develop their own product which ultimately replaces it or will they just go all in on this.
