A man has faced court accused of secretly filming up the skirts of schoolgirls as young as twelve by concealing cameras in his shoes. The 49-year-old also allegedly had more than 100 child abuse images on his computer.

A 49-year-old man, Yachi Dung, has been taken into custody following allegations of filming children for sexual gratification on a Sydney bus. Police claim Dung concealed cameras in his shoes to record underage girls and stored images and videos of children on his computer. The offences are said to have targeted girls in school uniforms and were described in court as premeditated and sophisticated. Dung was refused bail and is expected to face additional charges as investigations continue.

Yesterday morning, Operation Savetti led the proactive crime team to 49-year-old Yachi Dung's home in Strathfield, taking him into custody to appear before Burwood Court today. Does your client realise how serious these charges are? No comment. It's alleged Dung concealed video cameras beneath the laces of shoes, allowing him to point them directly under the girls. The court also heard Dung was allegedly storing 69 images and videos of prepubescent children under 13 on his computer, and 29 other files involving children under 16. Dung's brother was at court today, hearing the full extent of the charges as his sibling was refused bail. Hard day for you? Yes. Do you support your brother? No comment. Magistrate Price told the court they are matters that are clearly premeditated, sophisticated and an ongoing course of conduct over a period of time, targeting girls in school uniform who are clearly vulnerable members of the community. The offences are alleged to have occurred on a bus travelling between Dromoyne and Rockdale in early August, allowing the accused to get close to his victims, which was captured on CCTV.
