Additionally, the White House is undergoing renovations, including the construction of a new ballroom funded by private donations, and there are discussions about using leftover funds for a commemorative arch near the Lincoln Memorial.

Tonight, President Trump says he's raising tariffs on some Canadian goods by another 10%. The punishing increase coming as he travels to Asia to meet with world leaders, including China's President Xi. We have a lot to talk about with President Xi, and he has a lot to talk about with us. I think we'll have a good meeting. But one leader at the meeting getting the cold shoulder, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. What they did is really dishonest. Trump abruptly ended all trade negotiations with America's second largest trading partner after the government of Ontario ran an anti-tariff TV ad using the words of one Republican president against another, President Ronald Reagan's words from a 1987 radio address. But over the long run, such trade barriers hurt every American worker and consumer. The ad still playing this weekend, seen by millions watching the World Series. Ontario says it will stop on Monday, not soon enough for Trump, as he says he'll add an additional 10% tariff on some Canadian goods. As the government shut down Regis Day 25, millions of workers are without pay, but Trump says a mystery donor gave $130 million to pay servicemen and women, despite legal and ethical concerns. He's a great patriot, he really is. Presidential power also being flexed at the White House. The east wing of the White House now demolished. Soon to rise, a $300 million, 90,000 square foot ballroom, funded by private donations. Preservation experts were not consulted. And so we're now in this predicament where there's no case law or anything that really advises us on this. Jerika, the president denied reports that he would name the ballroom after himself, and he's not done yet. The commander-in-chief says leftover money to fund the ballroom could be used to build a commemorative arch near the Lincoln Memorial. Willie James Emmett, thank you.
