As we head throughout hurricane season, these are some tips and information that you will need to help keep you and your family safe as we head throughout hurricane season. Now, hurricane season generally peaks in that second week of September, but one thing I want to point out, not only do hurricanes peak during that timeline, named storms peak as well. So here's some things you need to keep in mind here as we head throughout the season. Number one, the most important thing, that's why we have it at the very tip top of the list, you need to make your plan ahead of time, before the storm moves in. Another thing you can do, build that emergency kit. We'll go over the things you need to put in that kit coming up, but overall, make sure that you have that plan in place before the storm moves in. Know your evacuation procedures, either for your community, your county, your state, anything like that, so that way you're well aware of what to do in the event that a storm moves in. And also, make sure that that tank is topped off before the storm moves in, so that way if you have to evacuate after the fact, you won't have to worry about filling up with gas.
