A wet week is forecast for much of the central and eastern United States, with rounds of rain and thunderstorms expected from Texas through Illinois and into the Northeast. Three separate storms are anticipated to move across the region, bringing the risk of severe weather, travel delays, and isolated flooding.

While the storms may cause hazardous conditions, the rainfall will be beneficial for areas experiencing severe and extreme drought, especially in Texas and the Southern Plains. The most significant threats include damaging winds, hail, and the possibility of isolated tornadoes, particularly in the upper Midwest, with additional storms expected later in the week.
