Snow accumulations are expected to range from 1 to 3 inches in Minneapolis, 3 to 6 inches in central Minnesota, and up to 12 inches along parts of Interstate 29 and the Keweenaw Peninsula.

A second storm system is forecast to follow closely, bringing additional snow and a zone of ice to areas including Rapid City, Bismarck, Fargo, and northern Minnesota. Minneapolis is expected to see more ice than snow from the second system, as slightly milder temperatures reach the southern edge of the affected region.
