Areas at particular risk include the Southern Plains, Ozark Plateau, Mississippi Valley, and Ohio Valley, with threats of damaging winds, hail, and isolated tornadoes. Instability in the atmosphere is somewhat limited, which may temper the severity of some storms, but strong wind energy aloft remains a concern.
