Meteorologists report that the dome of high pressure causing the heat is shifting eastward, bringing higher temperatures to the East but allowing for a stormier, cooler pattern in the West and Central Plains. This change is expected to bring rain and even snow to higher elevations, with Denver potentially dropping to a high of 53 degrees as the new pattern sets in.
