The report also highlights that those who experienced conversion therapy, particularly in abusive forms, often avoid certain places due to fear of assault or harassment. In response to growing concerns, the European Commission introduced a strategy in late 2025 to address attacks on LGBTQ+ individuals, with half of EU countries now having national equality strategies and at least eight member states banning conversion practices.
