The student, Kenidra Flamenco, is a 25-year-old senior and mother who faced challenges balancing her studies and parenting after her childcare plans fell through.

Professor Coombs allowed Flamenco to bring her seven-month-old daughter, Fatima, to class and offered to hold the baby when needed. Flamenco expressed gratitude for the support, stating that with the professor's help, she is able to pursue both her education and motherhood.
