HBO has released the first official teaser trailer for its new Harry Potter television series, with the first season scheduled to premiere in December. The series will adapt each of J.K. Rowling's seven novels into a season, and the entire production is expected to take ten years. 

Dominic McLaughlin will play Harry Potter, joined by Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger and Alistair Stout as Ron Weasley. Papa Eseidu, cast as Severus Snape, has revealed receiving racist death threats, adding to ongoing controversies, including criticism of J.K. Rowling for her comments on gender.
