Officials in Polk County have reported over 30 brush fires in a single day and have implemented mandatory burn bans. Residents are reminded that illegal burning can result in penalties, and are urged to exercise caution with items and equipment that could spark fires, such as cigarette butts, grills, and gas-powered tools.
