A family of six in St Albans, Melbourne, was forced to flee their home after an arsonist set fire to their cars and house in the early morning hours. Security footage shows the suspect targeting the property at random, igniting multiple vehicles before the blaze spread to the home and a neighboring property.

Fire crews contained the fire within 40 minutes, but three cars and two homes were severely damaged. The family lost irreplaceable possessions and is now without a home or transportation. Police are investigating the incident and searching for the perpetrator.
