Imaging revealed Herbert had a blood clot, a condition that affects approximately 900,000 people in the U.S. each year and can be fatal if not treated promptly.

Doctors emphasize that early intervention is crucial, as most blood clots can be treated effectively with blood thinners. Herbert credits Dr. Boyle's quick action for saving his life and urges awareness of symptoms such as swelling, pain, and skin discoloration.
