Winners included a 20-year-old student awarded third place for upcycling discarded straw hats, Isabelle Aiguin who won the Jury Prize for her collection made from local woven fabric, and 17-year-old Rebecca Hounou, who took the Grand Prize with designs crafted from plastic bags and seashells to promote ocean conservation. The festival, chaired by Nigerian designer Al Fadi, continues across four cities in Benin.
