Craig Silvey, the award-winning author best known for 'Jasper Jones', has been charged with additional offences related to child exploitation material. The new charges include producing and possessing such material, with the alleged production occurring between February and June 2022 and the latest possession charge dated January 2024.

Silvey appeared in Fremantle Magistrates Court, where his strict bail conditions were continued, and no pleas have been entered for any of the four charges. Police have also charged a woman in her 60s in connection with the case, and both are scheduled for future court appearances.
