Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated that Ukraine will not make any territorial concessions to Russia as the country prepares to submit a revised peace proposal to the White House. Zelenskyy emphasized that, under Ukrainian law, international law, and moral grounds, he does not have the right to give away any part of Ukraine's territory.

This stance follows meetings with leaders from the U.K., France, and Germany, and comes as Ukraine faces pressure to concede about 20% of its territory, a point included in a previous U.S.-backed proposal. Meanwhile, former U.S. President Donald Trump has criticized European leaders' handling of the conflict and is reportedly urging Ukraine to make concessions, while Zelenskyy continues diplomatic efforts with international leaders.

All right. Let's talk about what's happening in Ukraine as they prepare to present a revised peace plan to the White House after President Zelensky ruled out making any territorial concessions to Russia. CBS News foreign correspondent Rami Nissencio joins us from our London newsroom. All right, Rami, so any details on what the Ukrainians are proposing now that they've rejected a key sort of point of that initial peace plan, which is that Russia would perhaps keep some of its territorial gains that they took under force? Right. No land for Russia. That is what President Zelensky has said overnight. In terms of that peace proposal that Ukraine could submit, no details yet, but we are understanding, at least from one wire news agency, the AFP, that we could get details as soon as today, Tuesday. So we'll be on the lookout for that. But there was clearly some kind of mood change, some kind of mood shift after President Zelensky met those three leaders of the U.K., of France and Germany yesterday there at 10 Downing Street where we were. He seemed to come out of it with a kind of new resolve, some kind of backing that he was looking for. And basically, he said that under Ukrainian laws, under international law, and he framed it through a moral lens, too, that they cannot, that he cannot, he does not have the right to give anything away. And that is what Ukraine is fighting for. And just to catch people up to speed, you know, we're talking about 20 percent of the country here in terms of what Russia has been demanding, in terms of what that U.S.-backed proposal, the initial one from about three weeks ago, was also proposing there. So we should expect to see some kind of pushback from this Ukrainian peace proposal. And after all of that, too, Vlad, President Trump has now blasted European leaders about their handling of Ukraine. We're seeing this strange new kind of paradigm where the U.S. and Europe are at odds over this war. This was on Politico. Take a listen. I want to read you a quote from Zelensky that he admitted, he shared that Zelensky, that Trump is actually pushing Ukraine to make concessions. It's unclear if it's just this issue of land, Vlad, but, at least publicly, we know that this has been that biggest thorn in the side of all parties. But Zelensky, for his part, he is continuing to do his shuttle diplomacy. He met Pope Leo earlier today, is scheduled to meet Italian Prime Minister Giorgio Maloney. And again, he has said that he could meet President Trump if President Trump is open to it and going over to the United States. All right. We will see how that transpires.
