We were nervous for him for a long while before that and you know I think he was less nervous than us and yeah no he played brilliantly and yeah we were just talking about it for ages before he even got there and then obviously when he got there we were chuffed for him and so was everyone on the ground. I think it was a great moment. England ended day one at 325 for nine with the tourists believing they seized momentum in the final session despite Mitchell Stark's six-wicket haul. We were pretty happy with 260 and having an hour at them at that point to be honest as well though we were quite optimistic about our last hour and then it turns out they ended up battling for all of it so yeah like I said I felt like it was a great chance for us either way with about all ball to seize that last hour and yeah I think we definitely won that last hour so we're positive going into tomorrow.
