To create those opportunities is one thing and it was great to hang on to them and do it a little bit differently as well up to the stumps here and there and it was a great summer. From the Ashes to the Big Bash, Carey loves his cricket and wouldn't turn down a call-up to represent his country in the T20 despite missing out on selection for the World Cup. I always try to perform, always want to play cricket for Australia but I also understand exactly where I sit. At peace but still passionate, he draws inspiration from another Australian wicketkeeper with a T20 resurgence. Yeah you never know, I think Matthew Wade, the way he came back in and had a real impact and ended up winning a World Cup for Australia, yeah you never say never. And Michael Nesser won't soon forget this summer, his state contract to be supplemented by Cricket Australia's minimum retainer, about $350,000. For me personally going into it not knowing whether I'm going to be playing or even being selected and then to have those couple of injuries and to be thrown into the mix of it is I guess a dream come true.
