I wonder what you think when you look at that place. I have good feelings. I have good feelings whether the Dome was opened or closed. We always had excitement, enthusiasm, and we won a lot. It's kind of amazing, right? 33 years ago today, it was your hit that, you know, effectively secured that World Series to the Blue Jays. The runners go on the three-to to Winfield. Down the line, a base hit! Into the left field corner. White has scored. Alomar comes around. The ball gets away from Gant. It's a two-run double for Dave Winfield. Is that still a pinch-me moment for you? Oh, wow. I didn't know that it was kind of an anniversary of that. But yeah, it's a pinch-me moment for my entire career. I mean, I was ready for it. I was ready for it. Told all my friends and family, don't call me. Don't ask me for anything. I'm not responding. I'm focused. You're on your own. And I'm busy. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. You did something pretty cool back then. You made it very clear that you wanted it to be noisy. Winfield wanted noise. Dave, I think it would blow your mind to hear what it's like inside there right now. Like it is, it is crazy. The well-pitched. How's that? What does that do for you as an athlete? It's a whole lot better than being on the road. Boo, you stink. You're terrible. You know, everybody's pulling against you. When they're for you, it's almost like, I don't know, going down a ski slope, you know, you got momentum and it's just very, very helpful. You want people on your side. I think of you as our ringer because you're a forever Blue Jay, but you live in LA. So, you know things. What does this team need to do to win? I'm be straightforward with you. The Blue Jays are up against a behemoth. They've got some great players who have been there. I mean, they're in the playoffs. Let's say of the last decade, eight or nine times. So they're battle-tested. However, I think that if the Blue Jays play together, ride that momentum of the fans and just execute, it's not a lost cause. Believe me. I have one last question for you because I'm old enough to remember that crazy moment in August of 83. Dave Winfield was flying high last night when his baseball team beat the Blue Jays in Toronto. He had three hits, two baseballs and a seagull. Poor old Dave Winfield accidentally killed the seagull and the Toronto police hauled you in to the shock of the city. What happened when the cops pulled you in? Ah, well, I hit the hit the bird on the field during the game after the session of playing catch and the inning started and people were booing me during the game and I remember getting a double or a home run. And so I was the hero of the game doing an interview and my manager came down and said, Dave, you got to hurry up because we were leaving town that day. You got amount of police are waiting for you. So I thought it was a joke and then I came up there. Someone filed a complaint, cruelty to animals and they took me down and I had to pay some money and then I met up with the team. They kidded me for the rest of the year about that stuff. But who would have known we could turn lemons to lemonade years later, you know, 83 that happened, 92 was the best. Right on. Well, come back anytime. There will be no police. I mean, I hope. Just to escort into the end of the ballpark as it should be. There you go. Right on. Thank you, sir.
