President Donald Trump has confirmed the U.S has taken military action against Iran, attacking three nuclear sites in the country﻿, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. He said the U.S bombers involved in the attack were now out of Iranian airspace and returning safely to base.

President Donald Trump announced the operation as a significant military success, stating that the targeted sites were completely destroyed and that the bombers had safely exited Iranian airspace.

The strikes, carried out in coordination with Israel, have escalated tensions in the region. Iran responded by launching attacks on several Israeli cities, prompting civilians to seek shelter. Both US and Israeli leaders have called for peace, but concerns remain about further retaliation and the potential for broader conflict.

to wait two weeks lasted all of two days as US stealth bombers flew into the war between Israel and Iran. Tonight I can report to the world that the strikes were a spectacular military success. Iran's key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated. The President watched the attacks from the Situation Room, surrounded by his deputies and top commanders. The three targets were nuclear enrichment facilities at Fordow, Natanz and Esfahan. Iran, the bully of the Middle East, must now make peace. If they do not, future attacks will be far greater and a lot easier. President Trump first announced the strikes on social media. A full payload of bombs was dropped on the primary site, Fordow, he wrote. Then he reposted this, declaring, Fordow is gone. The signs something was coming were there, as B-2 stealth bombers, usually invisible on civilian tracking sites, turned on their transponders to show the world where they were. That plane, the only aircraft capable of dropping the huge and destructive Bunker Buster bomb. It's designed to penetrate to quite a significant depth before it actually goes off, and then to generate the large burst after. A dozen Bunker Busters delivered by six stealth bombers are believed to have been dropped on the underground facility at Fordow. Two more hit Natanz, as well as submarine-launched cruise missiles that were also used against Esfahan. I want to congratulate the great American patriots who flew those magnificent machines tonight and all of the United States military on an operation the likes of which the world has not seen in many, many decades. Trump also thanked his so-called team-mate, Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who at his own press conference patted President Trump on the back and, speaking in English, addressed not his own people directly, but the rest of the world. Congratulations President Trump. Your bold decision to target Iran's nuclear facilities with the awesome and righteous might of the United States will change history. First comes strength, then comes peace. And tonight President Trump and the United States acted with a lot of strength. Both leaders standing on the precipice of all-out war are now calling for peace. The United States has now made itself a legitimate target of Iranian retaliation. On Iranian state TV, a commentator put a target on the back of every American citizen or member of the military in the region. I think if they're dumb enough to go ahead and attack a US naval asset, for example, in the Persian Gulf, I think that will put the Iranian navy in the bottom of the Persian Gulf within 20 to 30 minutes. But despite the strong rhetoric, very real fears of retaliation were realised as the sun came up. Iran launched a fresh barrage against Israel with strikes reported in Tel Aviv. Haifa and Jerusalem. Thousands are now hunkering down in bomb shelters and underground car parks waiting for the all-clear. It's like an atomic shelter or something and you've got all the facilities here so it's much nicer than being at our small shelter at home. You've got air, you've got toilet, you've got water, you've got a safe place. But safety could be hard to find as the world waits to see the extent of Iran's response.
