U.S. diplomat Jonathan Schreer noted that Washington's commitment to international cooperation remains steadfast, but said the text crossed many of the U.S.'s red flags. Undeterred, U.N. Undersecretary General Li Junhua expressed optimism that the conference can still deliver success. The Chinese diplomat, who oversees the U.N.'s economic and social affairs program, said the participants of the conference, through unity, can build on the momentum of previous editions.
