However, many health professionals see the change as promoting Kennedy's personal medical skepticism after he fired the entire CDC Vaccine Advisory Committee last June. This has never happened in the United States. This administration has decided that they think they know better than the independent science-based experts that made recommendations for vaccination of our children for over 50 years. As the new federal guidance is taking effect, major medical organizations have filed a lawsuit challenging vaccine policies adopted under Kennedy, which they argue will lower immunization rates.
