For many in Ukraine, the idea of peace could hardly be more tantalising. After nearly four years of war, another winter is setting in, and Russia's relentless bombardment of the energy grid means power cuts are frequent. News of losses from the front continues to mount, and many are shocked by a corruption scandal that has engulfed the highest echelons of government, leading to the resignation last week of President Zelensky's right-hand man. Do people believe that the negotiating process can produce results, and has their faith in President Volodymyr Zelensky been shaken? If there is a proper purge, and if more concrete things emerge and more are found guilty and replaced, then yes, I have a trust. On the one hand, there is a desire for this to be solved, because my heart is covered with blood from what's happening. On the other hand, I don't want to concede our territories. Even the 20% they want is very important for us. I can see how our president is trying his best, 100%. His team is trying their best. But the man on the other side is insane. You tell him it's white, he will tell you it's black.
