Those who are undergoing treatment and have medical conditions are sent to other hospitals that can admit them. The evacuations were triggered by comments made by the head of the KGB in Belarus, one of Russia's closest allies. He accused Kiev of using hospitals to hide military personnel, further suggesting that Russia could regard the facilities as legitimate military targets. Speaking on Friday, the city's mayor denounced any such accusations. The aggressor directly threatened to attack our medical facility. They even mentioned the address. There is a children's hospital here. They say they are motivated by the fact that the military is here. You can come and have a look. There are only patients being treated here in the hospital. According to the World Health Organization, there have been over 1,600 attacks on health centers since the Russian invasion of Ukraine began in 2022, resulting in more than a hundred deaths.
