Jeopardy! fans may recognize this face as 13-time winner Ray Lalonde but it's actually his twin brother Ron who made his own mark on the show this week. The brothers are originally from Thunder Bay Ontario and now they have both been crowned championships in multiple games three years apart. Their family accomplishment makes our moment. If Ron looks familiar to those of you at home who are Jeopardy! fans you're probably thinking of his brother Ray. We are probably the first multi-game champion twin brothers to appear in that show. The first thing I did was call Ray and say hey I'm on the show. I was so happy for him. I knew he was trying and trying and it's so exciting. It's a bit of a relief that it's finally been done as I was waiting for a long time. Ray appeared on the show three years ago and did so well. No pressure there at all. I came down during the tail end of COVID and won 13 games. I was quite nervous for him sitting in the audience. Of course Ron won which is thrilling. A nail-biter but so fun when they happen. Ron Lalonde is now the second Lalonde to be a Jeopardy! champion. It was nice that Ray got to be down and watch me play. I just wanted to at least win one game. I couldn't just fall on my face right. We also watched Jeopardy! growing up. 7.30 Jeopardy! comes on. Don't disturb the family. We're watching Jeopardy! I had a watch party at my place with my some friends and we're all cheering him on. It's thrilling and exciting and nerve-wracking. You know, I've prepared your whole life for this kind of thing. It's very exciting. Now apparently they applied to get on Jeopardy! more than a decade ago and these two brothers have five other siblings and they say they've been encouraging them to apply to get on the show too but so far no one seems keen. So far. Imagine the pressure.
