MTG was always by his side at election rallies, echoing his claims of 2020 election fraud, trolling previous President Joe Biden. She has mentioned having the president on speed dial and being able to talk to him. Taylor Greene claimed Trump was right about everything. Except she's had a change of heart recently, breaking with him on some major issues, from health care with premiums about to shoot up for so many people, to the U.S. involvement in Ukraine and how that ties in with the America First policy, and then there are the Epstein files, something she has been vocally very angry about. Putting pressure on the Trump White House to release more info on the late pedophile, a one-time acquaintance of the president. Her claims of a lack of transparency infuriating Trump, who called her a traitor. Now she's quitting at the start of January before Congress returns and a Trump-backed challenger gets a chance to unseat her. I do not want my sweet district to have to endure a hurtful and hateful primary against me by the president that we all fought for. Marjorie Taylor Greene is very popular in her district, but so is President Trump, leaving some here feeling a little caught in the middle. It's like two big children fighting each other about candy. I'm sorry that this is happening because she was real supportive of Rome and Rome absolutely loves President Trump. Is MAGA falling apart? Is that a fair assessment? No, I don't think it is. I mean, at the end of the day, we still have President Trump. We've got a lot of strong Republican elected officials out there. MAGA is still going strong. America First issues are still core issues to Republican voters. MTG has been controversial to many in Washington, getting into verbal scraps in hearings. I think your fake eyelashes are messing up. Banned from Twitter at one point, polarizing and popular in equal measure. Back in Georgia, this is a solid Republican district, typically 20 to 30 points over the Democrats in terms of lead. MTG leaving is unlikely to change that. So the question is, what will it mean for the president to make America great again movement both in the midterms and beyond? The fight that we're seeing here actually sort of represents what will happen to MAGA when Donald Trump is no longer president and when he is no longer on the ballot. Who will succeed MTG?
