News coming across from western Myanmar, Rakhine State, that the town of Myawur, a hospital, was hit overnight by military jets that dropped bombs, killing 31 people in a hospital and injuring 60 others. And that is now an almost daily occurrence here in Myanmar. We heard overnight a loud explosion a couple of villages over. We understand a military jet dropped a thousand pound bomb. That led to one fatality, several injuries. And bomb shelters like this are now commonplace in almost every household. As soon as people hear spotter planes up in the sky, all the word spreads that there are jets in the air. They get into the shelters. Mortars and artillery are also commonplace. We've heard several shells coming in already today. And the targets appear to be indiscriminate. The military as they fire, making no distinction between civilian or military installations.

About 500,000 people are fleeing renewed clashes on the Thailand-Cambodia border. Over a dozen were killed as fighting shatters a US-Malaysia-brokered peace deal amid a decades-old temple land dispute.
