Daily tropical downpours will impact the Southeast coast and Gulf Coast this week as an area of low pressure forms. Rain could be heavy at times and may fall at a rate of 2 to 4 inches per hour in any one location.

A weather system is bringing significant rainfall to the Gulf Coast and Florida, increasing the risk of flooding in these areas. The moisture is moving westward, affecting regions including Georgia, the Carolinas, and the Florida Panhandle, with particular concern for cities such as Biloxi and Mobile. 

While the chances of the system developing into a more severe storm remain low due to land interaction and other factors, the persistent rain and thunderstorms are expected to disrupt outdoor activities and travel along the I-10 corridor. Conditions are forecast to improve towards the end of the week.

The problem is a lot of people are on vacation too, so you want to have rain-free days, whether you're at the beach or amusement parks. Some of those amusement parks might have to take a break. Those beaches. All right, gonna be getting hammered. Also seeing some of those down into Florida as well. Even the panhandle could get a little feisty. We're gonna see more of that kind of shifting west, as you said, with the overall movement as these storms are getting pushed westward. But before it does that, it does leave that threat for flooding, especially here into Georgia and the Carolinas. But watch all this moisture just go right across the Gulf. I mean, it's funny. This is taking the exact same path as that other storm, essentially. I also am not too hot on this developing. That's just me at this moment. The percentage chances are low. It's kind of wide. There's land interaction. I'm not super convinced. We just went through this. We're just gonna go through it again. So more rain and thunderstorms for Biloxi, for Mobile. You guys, Thursday, Friday, really seeing that flood footprint kind of shift a little bit over many of the panhandles here, and then it's all heading towards the Big Easy. Where we don't need rain, by the way, in the Big Easy. We're doing okay on rain there. But that I-10 corridor, if you're doing a drive, or again, going to any of the beaches here along the Gulf, it could be a little bit wet. Though I will say, the good news is, it does improve as we head. Look at our Friday. Things are gonna be getting much better, Jim, for us.
