The National Hurricane Center is now keeping an eye on two areas to watch in the Atlantic. The one we are more concerned about is a tropical wave moving westward across the central Atlantic.

Meteorologists are closely monitoring two areas in the Atlantic Ocean for potential tropical development. Forecast guidance has become more optimistic about the formation of a tropical storm east of the Lesser Antilles, which could bring unsettled weather, including showers, storms, and wind, to the region.

Forecast models, including the European and GFS, offer differing scenarios for the systems' development and movement. One model suggests a system could strengthen east of Nicaragua, while another indicates a possible stalling near the Dominican Republic before moving north. Another system may also emerge from the gyre, but model predictions are expected to change as new data becomes available.

Tracking two areas in Atlantic for possible development

This is all that matters down here. What's happened from yesterday to today is some of the guidance is a lot more bullish on maybe developing or getting a tropical storm east of the Lesser Antilles. So that's what we'll have to watch for you guys. Either way, you've got a stormy weekend. It's gonna be unsettled. We're gonna have showers, storms, and wind. But do we actually get a named system before this gets to the islands? And there's certainly a possibility of that. So here's the European. And you can see it kind of brings something in there that may or may not be a named storm over the weekend. Sunday looks like the worst day. And then it kind of gels this with pieces of the gyre and the northern jet stream. And then it blows it up, all right, east of Nicaragua. And that's Monday the 27th. So that's 10 days from now. So who knows? I mean, the models are gonna change in time. All right, so I'm not gonna, if I extended that out to November 1st, you would see a system that would come up toward the Dominican, sit here, and then maybe move north by November 1st. So they stall it, which makes sense, because we're gonna have to wait and see how the steering winds up. Now, the GFS comes right in with the wave, develops it, and then kicks it out. That is very much like what the Google DeepMind does. And that has been the champion so far this year in terms of models. Oh, and did I mention there's another system on the tail of that that comes off the gyre? But, you know, GFS is gonna do GFS things. We'll see.

The Trump administration is awaiting word from the Supreme Court after asking it to allow the immediate deployment of National Guard troops to Illinois to protect Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers. A lower court blocked the move.
