More than 20,000 people are waking up without power across southeastern Wisconsin Tuesday morning after severe storms rolled through the region, following historic weekend flooding.

Severe storms have moved through southeastern Wisconsin, resulting in significant damage including downed trees and widespread power outages. Doorbell camera footage and viewer photos show trees swaying in strong winds and several split or fallen trees in areas such as Brookfield, Sherman and Hampton in Milwaukee, and 23rd and Villard.

According to the local energy provider, nearly 20,000 customers are currently without power, with the number of outages continuing to rise as the storms persist. Downed power lines have also been reported, contributing to the outages. Authorities urge residents to exercise caution when traveling in affected areas.

That number is steadily increasing as storms continue to roll through our area and I've got an eye on our traffic system as well. Looking at maps there that indicate power lines have been downed across the area which we have to assume is contributing to these growing outages.
