A 14-year-old boy named Muhannad Aid was killed in Gaza when a falling aid pallet struck him during an airdrop, according to reports from Al-Aouta Hospital and eyewitness accounts. Video footage from the incident shows people rushing to help the boy after the pallet landed on him.

The United Nations has previously warned that airdrops are dangerous, costly, and often ineffective in populated regions, with other deaths linked to such operations also reported. Israeli officials maintain that significant amounts of aid have entered Gaza, while some crossings remain closed. The boy's family and local residents expressed grief and frustration over the dangers posed by current aid delivery methods.

Oren Lieberman has more, and a warning, his report contains disturbing images. A 14-year-old boy was killed by falling aid in Gaza on Saturday, according to Al-Aouta Hospital. A video from that day shows aid packages being airdropped and quickly falling to the ground in central Gaza. According to eyewitnesses and family, Muhannad Aid was struck by one of the pallets, crushing him to death. Video shows a crowd of people rushing to lift the aid package off the young boy. Despite the famine and the hard conditions that we live in, my brother still went to get the aid that these airplanes dropped by the sea. A box fell on him directly, and he was martyred. The U.N. has warned that airdrops of aid are ineffective, expensive, and dangerous in heavily populated areas, and other deaths linked to airdrops have been reported. Since the beginning of the war, Israel has let in close to two million tons of aid. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, whose policies have closed land crossings for aid, has repeatedly denied that his government is starving people in Gaza. Now if we had a starvation policy, no one in Gaza would have survived after two years of war. But our policy has been the exact opposite. Meanwhile, Aid's brother is left in mourning. No aid or anything. They cannot enter the aid through the crossing, but they drop them over us and kill our children. A kid was killed in Zawada, and here and there, and nobody feels us. God is sufficient for us.
