A 15-year-old boy has been charged following a stabbing at a park in Forest Lodge, NSW, which left a 21-year-old man in critical but stable condition. Police are searching for up to five other teenagers believed to be involved.

Later, the rider met with friends at a nearby park, where a confrontation with the same group escalated, resulting in a 21-year-old man being stabbed multiple times in the back. The victim is in critical but stable condition, and four others have been discharged from hospital. Police have charged a 15-year-old boy with affray and wounding with intent to cause injury and are seeking up to five other teenagers in connection with the incident. Authorities have seized several items from the scene and are urging witnesses, including two who intervened earlier, to come forward.

Exposed by their headlights, a group of riders attract attention at Federal Park. A bunch of boys or kids zipping around on the path with their scooters, acting like little hooligans. But it was far from a late night joyride. The extensive crime scene began around 10pm at an intersection in Forest Lodge, where a delivery rider on his way home stopped at the traffic lights. He had been followed by another male. He was knocked to the ground and assaulted by kicks and punches. Two witnesses came past the scene, a male and a female, and they intervened, which allowed that victim to escape. Two hours later police were called to the park in Annandale, where the rider met with his five friends and a fight broke out with the same teenager and his mates, one armed with a knife. A 21-year-old tripped while attempting to flee when police say he was stabbed several times in the back. It was a loud scream and it kept going. It was a good several seconds. He's now in a critical but stable condition in hospital. Four of his friends have been discharged. Tonight a 15-year-old boy is in police custody, charged with a fray and wound with intent to cause injury. A mobile phone left behind, bagged as evidence, but it's unclear if the weapon has been recovered. A number of items have been seized at the scene, so we'll examine those and we'll see if they lead to identifying any of those parties that were involved in the assault. It's understood the teenager boy had been advised not to assist police, who are now looking for up to five others, all of Caucasian appearance and aged between 14 and 15 years. The motive for it at this stage is unclear. Hopefully we'll get to the bottom of that. Any witnesses, including the two good Samaritans, should come forward. Olivia Blunden, 10 News.
