An unsettled weather pattern is setting up across the Southeast as the heat dome begins to break down. The best chance for storms will be during the afternoons and the activity should be scattered at best, so none of the days look like a washout.

An unsettled weather pattern is developing across the Southeast as the persistent heat dome begins to break down. Elevated humidity levels are expected, with scattered afternoon storms likely in areas such as Jacksonville, Orlando, and Tallahassee. 

These storms may produce periods of heavy rainfall, some damaging winds, and isolated power outages. The pattern is expected to persist for several days, with the potential for repeated rounds of storms and muggy conditions.

With that, your dew points are going to be skyrocketing is the muggy and places like Jacksonville and Ponte Vedra back into Orlando. Certainly out by the mouse house. You can expect the mid to late week storms. They're going to be at times producing heavy rainfall from Mayport back into Tallahassee into the swamp. And for today we have a chance of storms for many of you may be welcome site. Anything that will block that fiery orb up in the sky. You know, I mean, the heat has just been ridiculous. And if you do get the storms, they again are capable. They could produce quite a bit of heavy rainfall. Maybe some damaging wind could cause some some tree issues here or there. Maybe a few scattered power outages. But we roll into the afternoon and we see things begin to percolate. Look how fast that happens again. As we have, as I often say, sounds like dandelions on the front lawn. You cut the grass next morning, go out and boom already popping up. That's what we could be seeing in a few places. All cable producing the large hail. Now, is that exactly where it's going to happen over places like Villa Rica, west of Atlanta? And yes, in Georgia we do pronounce. I know it looks like the Erica, but we pronounce it Villa Rica. Don't know why, but rain is easy to say. And I'll tell you, we'll see quite a bit of that. Possibly as you get into the morning hours, it is still out there. And by tomorrow morning, they're rolling their way down to parts of the 10 corridor. Here's what you can expect for tomorrow again. Rinse, lather, repeat. We're right back at it once again. Pattern continues. Mugging issue. Muggy conditions will ensue and even Friday, we're right back at it. So possibly we're talking 72 hours, at least the potential of some heavy rainfall at times. Perfect mosquito weather. No doubt. Not so perfect for many of us.
