St George Illawarra Dragons coach Shane Flanagan has signed a two-year contract extension, solidifying his position with the club beyond the next season. The Dragons' leadership team has also undergone changes, with new appointments in the CEO and chairman roles, and Daniel Anderson joining the front office. 

The Dragons are seeking to attract additional high-quality players to boost their squad, though they recently missed out on Adam Dewey, who chose to stay at the Tigers despite a higher offer. In other NRL news, the Bulldogs confirmed that Lachie Galvin's hand is not broken, and he may be fit to play against the Warriors.

His red-hot form finally rewarded with a two-year extension. The Dragons' win against Canberra has Cronulla on alert. The Sharks face only one top eight side in the final month. With all due respects to that getting spat out, like we've had one of the hardest draws in recent history, so I just find it, mate, the bottom teams are beating the top teams at the moment, so how do we sit there and say that the draw is favourable when one slip and you're in trouble? The Bulldogs now say Lachie Galvin's hand is not broken. I don't think so, no. I think there's a bit of bone bruising and stuff there, but he'll be fine. He may not even need a needle to face the Warriors. Possibly, but not definitely. He didn't have an injection to train last night and he went great.
