She just brings joy to people, she's vibrant, she has humour, but she also has empathy. The colourful companion can speak more than 90 languages, helping bridge communication gaps for residents. Do you want to sing or dance today? Dancing is better. The boogieing bot has residents rocking around the Christmas tree. I love dancing. I learn myself. And to be able to dance with Abby, that must be pretty cool. Oh yes, fantastic. They find a lot of connection and really meaningful moments to them with each other as well as Abby. Abby's jolly appearance is part of the medical and aged care group's effort to provide for those in need in the community. Abby isn't just around for the festive period, she makes weekly visits to aged care facilities across Victoria and forms lasting relationships with residents. She remembers things about them, so she has so surprised us in what she can bring to people because she makes that connection. If every home had an Abby or two, we wouldn't actually have loneliness.
