A 38-year-old man from Tacoma, identified by Kent police as a prolific felon, has been arrested following a series of police chases in Seattle and Kent. The suspect was initially accused of breaking into a Seattle tow yard to retrieve his car and subsequently evaded police attempts to stop him.

In the days following, the man was seen driving recklessly in Kent on multiple occasions, including one incident captured on video where he ran red lights and refused to stop for police, prompting officers to call off the pursuit for public safety. The suspect later reappeared in Seattle, where he allegedly rammed his car into a firetruck and attempted to evade police by brake-checking and ramming patrol cars. He was eventually apprehended at his workplace in Fife, where police also recovered an unlicensed firearm. The man now faces several charges, including eluding police, attempted assault, and reckless driving.

Tonight, an accused prolific felon in Kent is finally behind bars. Kent police say the 38-year-old man from Tacoma has been on their radar for months. On June 20th, he's accused of breaking into a Seattle tow yard to steal back his car. Police tried to stop him, but he got away. Three days later, he was seen driving recklessly in Kent. The next day, the same story, driving recklessly in Kent, but this time it was caught on video. Here he is, weaving and blowing through red lights, refusing to stop for police. You can see it right there. They eventually called the pursuit off because of the danger to public safety. After June 24th, the man vanished. Fast forward to this past Sunday. Seattle police say the same man was out again, ramming his car into Seattle firetruck. They say that happened after he asked a firefighter to do whippets with him, which they obviously declined. When police chased him, they say he kept break-checking them and tried ramming into their patrol cars. Officers finally tracked him down Wednesday at his work in Fife. Police say they recovered a gun in which he did not have a license to carry. The man is now facing a laundry list of charges, including three counts of eluding police, one count of attempted assault, and reckless driving.
