It took six weeks for police to recover the victim's head, which was found by a man out walking his dog in scrubland on the edge of Port Lincoln. Now it's not clear who the father of Chesser's baby is, but the State's Health Minister today confirmed she was pregnant before she was detained. The South Australian Premier has also spoken on the matter. For any woman who is pregnant in custody, the State's primary concern and consideration is for the life of that person in utero. The State Law Child Protection could take custody of this baby. Authorities are also reportedly speaking with Chesser's family regarding custody. Chesser is due back in court next month.
