Many of those 25 workers of Alba Wine and Spirits in Edison are being held here at this detention facility in Newark, Delaney Hall, as you mentioned. We can tell you that today they have a hearing with a judge today, at which time it will be decided if perhaps they'll be freed, further detained, or some perhaps even deported. No arrests without due process, no one should disappear. Along Doremus Avenue, right outside of this detention facility, a group is rallying in support of those who were rounded up at Alba Wine and Spirits while they were on the job and then detained. That raid by Immigration and Customs Enforcement was back on July 8th. Their family members have been visiting since then, and many are hopeful their loved ones will be allowed to go home today. Those on hand here for this rally say these workers were racially profiled and then arrested without any kind of due process. To those behind bars, you're not forgotten. Our communities are fighting for your release and to end the separation of our families. We have been told that none of these 25 employees have any kind of criminal past or criminal history. As for Alba Wine and Spirits, they have told us, the media, that they are fully cooperating with authorities. At the same time, they have not offered any references to their employees, and that's to the dismay of many of these families who have been asking for some kind of support from that company.
