Protesters in Peru have isolated its southeastern city of Puerto Maldonado after three weeks of road blockades. They are demanding constitutional reform. Some vandalised the regional governor's house on Friday.

This is usually a bustling City Transit area for businesses, both legal and illegal, including a lucrative gold mining operation run by criminal gangs. Now, authorities here, say the city is on the verge of collapse. The new residents here, say the prices of food and fuel in the black market have increased at least 6 volts. Get there.
