Four individuals have been accused of traveling from Europe to Canberra, Australia, where they allegedly broke into a home in O'Malley and stole over 70 high-value items, including watches, jewellery, and luxury handbags worth $10 million. New South Wales police arrested the suspects within four days in Wentworthville, recovering some of the stolen goods during a raid.

Authorities have lifted court suppressions, allowing details of the crime to be reported. Police are still searching for several missing items, with a global search underway, and are investigating possible links to a similar break-in in Vaucluse, where stolen items have already been intercepted by French authorities.

On October 15th, the four are accused of travelling all the way from Europe to here in the capital, where they broke into an O'Malley home in Canberra South, stealing more than 70 items, including watches, jewellery and luxury handbags worth $10 million. Police say the group did try and avoid detection, hiring a car for the heist. They travelled in and out of the ACT in the days leading up to the raid, but it only took NSW police four days to catch up with them, arresting the group in Wentworthville, raiding a home nearby where they found some of those stolen goods. 10 News is only able to report this brazen crime today due to court suppressions being lifted. Police are still looking for a number of outstanding items, with a global search now underway, including one item worth a watch worth $5 million. I've never seen a burglary of this magnitude occur here in Canberra. And the manner in which it occurred with people flying over from the other side of the world to do this targeted burglary is something like a movie. That's definitely something we don't see too often. Tonight, police are investigating if the group are also behind a break and enter in Vaucluse. It happened at around the same time as the heist here in Canberra, with those items stolen from Vaucluse have already been intercepted by French authorities. Sandra?
