There's been a scary moment on board the world's largest cruise ship the Icon of the Seas. Witnesses say a passenger was sliced open when a water slide malfunctioned. It's raised serious questions about safety on the boat.

A passenger aboard Royal Caribbean's Icon of the Seas sustained injuries after a structural failure on the ship's waterslide. Witnesses reported that acrylic glass panels broke during the ride, causing water to pour onto the deck and resulting in the passenger suffering back and leg injuries. 

Royal Caribbean confirmed that medical care was provided to the injured guest and announced the immediate closure of the waterslide while an investigation is conducted. The incident occurred during a seven-night eastern Caribbean cruise, with the ship scheduled to return to Miami.

That claims to be the largest drop at sea at 14m, but witnesses say he was sliced open and suffered back and leg injuries as a result of the freak accident. The incident happened on Thursday during a seven-night eastern Caribbean cruise. The ship's due to return to Miami tomorrow. Royal Caribbean issued a statement saying the team provided medical care to an adult guest, adding that the waterslide would be closed pending an investigation. No more slide! No!
