'One Battle After Another' and 'Adolescence' have dominated this year’s Golden Globes, taking home four awards each. A politically charged black comedy loosely based on the 1990 novel Vineland, 'One Battle After Another' won Best Comedy or Musical on Sunday at the 83rd edition of the annual awards in Los Angeles.

Timothee Chalamet won Best Actor for 'Marty Supreme,' while Jessie Buckley received Best Actress honors for her role as Agnes in a Shakespearean drama. 

In television, 'The Pit' was named Best Drama, and 'The Studio' won Best Comedy. The results are seen as potential indicators for the Oscars, which are scheduled to take place in March.

A satirical comedy about a group of would-be revolutionaries in the US has won big at this year's Golden Globes. Its star Leonardo DiCaprio missed out on the acting honours which went to Timothee Chalamet for his portrayal of a table tennis player in Marty Supreme. In the Best Actress category, Ireland's Jessie Buckley got the nod for her role as Shakespeare's wife Agnes, grieving after the death of their son Hamnet. The film also won the award for Best Motion Picture, Drama. In the TV category, emergency room series The Pit was named Best Drama.
