The timing of Biden's COVID-19 diagnosis has amplified worries within the Democratic Party about his ability to secure victory. With the president's health and age being scrutinized, some question whether he should step aside. Despite these concerns, public polls have not shown a significant drop in Biden's support, and his aides maintain that he remains committed to his presidential bid.

Jubilant Republicans view Biden's isolation as a sign of weakness, contrasting it with Trump's perceived resilience. Analysts and experts, however, suggest that the electoral race has not shifted dramatically despite the recent developments. Today is a terrible day. Uh, if you, if you just, if you pull back and look at this thing, strength versus weakness, a bullet couldn't stop Trump. A virus just stopped biting at their convention, seen by jubilant Republicans as weakness. They know they're fixing to get their teeth kicked in. Experts say public polls have not reflected a disastrous drop off in support. And so I do believe that the race hasn't changed as much as perhaps we would want to think it has.
