The next cold front will bring rain and gusty winds to the Midwest on Monday and the Great Lakes Tuesday through Thursday. Green Bay, Chicago and Cleveland could see wind gusts as high as 35 mph for several days in a row.

Rainfall is expected to be beneficial for the region, with the unsettled weather likely to persist through the middle of the week.

so that next system will move in with some showers, probably some collapse of thundering through here, and the fact that it's moving in so much quicker than, you know, the other one is leaving, you're not going to really get a super deep moisture return here. Now, just because you don't get moisture return doesn't mean we won't have wind. There'll be plenty of that. As a matter of fact, one might argue that this is going to be a little windier than the last system in three years, so get ready for some breezy conditions. More leaves will be blowing off the trees. So here's this low. It's going to be a decent low pressure again, and with it along the warm front, showers will be moving up through the Great Lakes and on into Canada on Tuesday morning, and then on the back side of that, that cold air loft, so really kind of instability showers. This is kind of a cool setup in the winter because you get these instability snow showers, but not the case, obviously, yet. But there are those winds, which is going to be the biggest feature about this, and more beneficial rain in and around the Great Lakes. The problem is it's lasting through the whole midweek.
