Everybody was running for their life because we don't know who was outside there with the gun. A scary night for many in this Newark neighborhood after two people, a 10 year old boy and a 21 year old woman shot dead. We heard the gunshots. I got on the ground when everything calmed down that we did not hear more gunshots. We tried to look outside, but we did not see anything. Emily, who owns a hair salon near Chancellor Avenue and Leslie Street, says her place was hit by bullets and she's still shaking. I still am shocked because we left here like around one a.m. And I couldn't even sleep because it's so sad and nobody deserve like this. That was a child over there. It is still unclear what led to the shooting. People who work in the area say the scene was hard to take in. There was one that was bleeding from the stomach. Officials say they got to the scene a little after seven p.m. On Saturday, three other victims, an 11 year old boy, a 19 year old and a 60 year old man are in stable condition. People lying down outside the liquor store. Then the guy here, he tried to pull 11 child inside trying to save him. The incident has many here questioning their safety and whether they can stay.
