Dexter has a 30% chance of development and is expected to remain offshore, although it may still cause hazardous rip currents. Another system, 96L, is projected to move around an Atlantic ridge, with additional waves forming off the coast of Africa as the region enters the peak of hurricane season. Forecasters note that while some systems have a higher chance of development, they are not expected to pose a direct threat to land at this time.

And we are getting to the peak of hurricane season, late August, early September. Remember, late August, 20 years ago, August 29th, we had Hurricane Katrina make landfall, which was a category three, which surprises a lot of people because there was so much damage from the huge surge. 60% chance development of this one. But again, this is not one that we will have to worry about.
